Hi, I'm Jaehee Kim. I work full-stack — React/TypeScript on the front, with React Native, Java/Spring, Node.js, and PHP across the rest of the stack. A generalist who runs projects from spec to ops.

Sketching IA and wireframes in the requirements meeting, writing the components, shipping to a server, then reworking the UI from user feedback. Owning that whole cycle end-to-end is what I'm best at.

PrecisionMicroEndodontics Solo, remote

Led a Washington D.C. endodontic clinic's site end-to-end, 100% remote from Seoul. Strategy, design, dev, SEO, hosting — 2 years 5 months without downtime, then handed off cleanly to automation (01/2024 – 05/2026).

  • Built the static pages as a PHP + JSON-file content rendering system. Designed the publishing, categorisation, and URL structure from scratch
  • jQuery + Bootstrap 5 + Animate On Scroll for responsive design and cross-browser stability. Readability and accessibility first, as a patient-facing medical site
  • Improved Google search ranking through keyword-driven content, metadata, sitemap, and OG tags (Vienna, VA local SEO focus)
  • Ran the SiteGround managed hosting, domain, SSL, backups, and incident response personally. 2 years 5 months uptime, then automated handoff

Apple Pop Solo build

A casual puzzle: drag apples that sum to 10. A full stack owned by one person — a learning case where I handled component design, API security, CI/CD, and i18n on my own.

  • Component + design-system tokens designed from scratch (colour, typography, radius, motion, spacing). TypeScript-based reusable patterns that transfer straight to web components
  • Supabase (Postgres) + Edge Functions for REST/RPC, auth, and leaderboard transactions. iOS/Android IAP receipts verified server-side to block tampering
  • i18next with 22 locales in production. Standard global i18n setup with font fallbacks and externalised strings
  • EAS CI/CD · auto signing · review automation, Sentry monitoring, AdMob, privacy policy. Set up the ops, DevOps, and compliance side myself

AI Usage TestFlight

If the tool I need doesn't exist, I build it. A SwiftUI companion app that surfaces Claude Code · Codex CLI token usage in a macOS menubar and an iOS lock-screen widget. Local-first, currently on TestFlight.

  • Built a usage dashboard Anthropic doesn't ship — SwiftUI menubar + popover that tracks both Claude Code and Codex CLI in one place
  • GRDB (SQLite) stores 90 days of usage locally; FSEvents watches session files in real time
  • iCloud Drive snapshot sync mirrors data from iPhone → Mac menubar + home widget, all on the same view
  • iOS home/lock widgets (systemSmall · systemMedium · accessoryRectangular) all supported. Zero servers · zero external data — fully local

Why build this myself?
If the tool I need doesn't exist, I don't wait — I build it. Picking up a new stack (Swift / SwiftUI / WidgetKit / GRDB) and shipping a working product in a short window is something I do well.

B2B SaaS for Digital SAT test sittings. Owned the cycle from client requirements → IA → Figma prototype → UX/UI design, then led the React frontend build.

  • Sat in client meetings, translated requirements straight into screens — the 1:1 client cycle ran through one person
  • Per-academy student results dashboard (round averages, per-student ranking, comparison charts against peer academies)
  • Round-by-round setup, search, filters, download/print — workflows tailored to how the academies actually run
  • Connected my own Figma → React components to a Java + MariaDB backend, auto-saving and restoring sitting state
